Is it possible to get Hepatitis B infection after immunisation?

Q: Can a person get infected with Hepatitis B even after he is vaccinated for Hepatitis B?

A:Most causes of hepatitis B infection after vaccination are because the patient has not been adequately immunised - dose too low, or booster doses were missed. If protective antibodies developed after immunisation, then the risk of hepatitis B is very low, usually related to a different strain of virus.
