Q: Is it normal for a couple not to reach orgasm through intercourse? My partner and I reach climax only by manual stimulation. I've read that this is common with women but is it the same for man also?

A:Yes. This is not uncommon. It occurs because the stimulation obtained during sexual intercourse is not enough to reach the orgasmic threshold. You will need some trial and error to figure these thresholds. Indicating to your partner what is pleasurable and arousing and what is not may help you to achieve this in good time. Try to identify the specifically erogenic stimuli obtained during mutual masturbation, and replicate the same during sexual intercourse.
