Q: For the first trimester I used an under eye cream. Later it was found that the cream had retinol acetate in it. A cosmetologist said that it is not harmful during pregnancy. Is retinol acetate different from Retin A? Is it OK to use it, as I have stopped using it since then.
A:Vitamin A in any form is best avoided. But the literature does not say much about its risks in pregnancy, so apply no further.
