Is it alright to run on tarred road?

Q: I am 24 years old and run daily in the morning on the main road (tarred road). Will this cause any problem to my legs or should I run on a softer ground?

A:Running on softer ground is always better than running on a tarred road. This reduces the stress on the joints that are involved in the activity. But if you do not have much of a choice, then you could compensate by wearing a good pair of shoes, which have cushioning to soften the impact of the striking foot on the ground. Also wearing a pair of socks helps in lowering the stress impact.
