Is freezing of eggs for future conception done in India?

Q: I am about 32 years old female wanting to wait a couple of more years before starting a family. Is freezing of eggs an effective solution? Where is it done in India? How much would it cost?

A:Oocyte freezing (egg) is done in India but only at selected centres at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital oocyte freezing can be done. The approximate expenses would be Rs. 1 lac which will include cost of oocyte aspiration and oocyte freezing. Once freezing is done, it can be kept in the same state for practically as long as you want.
