Q: I am a 38 years old female weighing 55 kg. PCR of endometrium for tuberculosis came positive. I am on Rhimatazid until next three months. My In vitro fertilisation (IVF) failed last month. Is another IVF advisable? Should my husband be tested for mycobacterium?

A:Your endometrial growth should be seen over one cycle. If it grows normally, then there is no need for further test and you can go ahead with another cycle of IVF. In case it remains thin or is exceptionally thick, you need a hysteroscopy with currettage. Your husband need not be tested for mycobacterium.
