How to treat lipoma of neck?

Q: I have developed a gland of about 2 inches size on my neck. I visited a surgeon and was told that it was a lipoma. Should I go for normal surgery or plastic surgery?

A:I have gone through the history and come to the conclusion that this patient would benefit, if operated by general surgeon.
