Q: How will B.P.P.V. (vertigo) be cured and which exercises are helpful?

A:B.P.P.V (Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo) is usually quite mild. The attacks last a few days and can be suppressed by use of a drug like Vertin 8 mg twice a day or 3 times a day. If it gives trouble inspite of this, a manpulation of the neck is done to give long lasting relief. This is a detailed procedure and all neurologists or ENT surgeons are not doing this. Its not complicated at all but the neck movements have to be done in a fixed order and only a small percentage of neurologists do this regularly. If not troublesome, stay with Vertin or similar drugs.
