Q: I am a 24 year old woman. When I was 16 I had this fever for which I had taken amoxyllin to counter the high temperature. After a couple of hours my face broke into pimples and have been having acne. However, in the last few years with mediacation I have been able to keep it in control and now I seem to have these pimples only around my periods. But the persistent problem is that since then I have been having hair loss . Everyone else in my family has thick hair. My hair is very thin and dull. Also it gets oily very fast due to which I end up having to shampoo it everyday. Is this bad for the hair? I have been to doctors for this. I am prescribed vitamins mostly. Recently a doctor put me on hair tincture that apparently increases blood flow. Is there anything I can do to increase the hair growth?

A:For pimples, recently introduced medication Adaferin gel locally daily at night may be helpful to you to control your acne. For hair, shampooing is not harmful. It is needed for people with oily skin. There is no therapy for fine and thin hair.
