Q: I have a 6 months old baby. He is my first baby. My problem is that I am unable to breast feed since my child bites my nipple. This has been happening since four months. Now I am completely unable to feed him because his biting has started wounding me. I would like to know if there are some gadgets which can help me to feed him without any problem? I also want to know how can I increase lactation since the lactation has reduced a lot?

A:Babies do bite when they are teething and there is really no way of preventing it from happening. You could try using some thing called a nipple shield. That may protect the nipple to some extent. As regarding the medicine to improve lactation, drink plenty of fluids and that itself should help.
