How to manage an artificial lens stuck in the iris?

Q: I am 35 years old and was operated on my left eye 18 years ago and an I.O. lens implanted permanently. Now the doctors say the lens has come out of its original place and the legs of the lens are stuck in the iris. It is giving me terrible pain. This problem is there for the last 6 years, and I am using diclofenac eye drops since then. For the last 3-4 months the pain has increased even with the use of drops. The doctors say that bullae are formed in the eye and they are giving the pain. One doctor suggested bandage contact lens as a temporary remedy. The sight in the eye is 6/36. Doctors are not advising any surgery. Can you please help/suggest something?
A:Your cornea is partially decompensated leading to corneal edema and bullae formation. The aim of treatment is to keep the cornea dehydrated and eye pressure low. If the lens is touching the cornea then IOL (intra-ocular lens) removal with / without corneal transplant is required depending on the corneal status. If the lens is not touching the cornea, leave it alone.
