How to confirm menopause?

Q: I m 52 yrs old and my wife is 45yrs old. Her mesuration cycle period have stopped from almos last one and half years. My wife still insist on using condoms for making sex,whereas I hate using them and insist on avoiding them. She insists that we seek medical advice about that. please advice us in all confidentiality.

A:If she has not menstruated for a year and half, then she has gone in to menopause and does not ovulate and so can not conceive. For confirmation, you should get her FSH/LH hormone level in the blood. That will clearly showif she has gone into proper menopause.
