Q: I am a 29 year old married woman and am very lean and underweight for my height. I am expecting a baby in the next couple of months. What are the chances of the baby being underweight and will he be healthy?
A:You need to take your vitamins and eat a healthy nutritious diet. You need to gain between 20-30 pounds during pregnancy. If your weight gain is okay, then your pre-pregnancy weight is not as important.
