Q: We have been married for 6 years and have one daughter, 3 years old. Now we are trying for a second child. Last month my wife had a miscarriage after 48 days. We had sex after 20 days of his miscarriage and she started bleeding. Is there a problem? Is a DNC required?
A:Sorry about your miscarriage. It is generally a good idea to wait for 3-6 months after a miscarriage to try to get pregnant again. I would suggest that your wife continue taking prenatal vitamins, and use some contraception for at least the next 3-6 months. Then she can try to get pregnant again.
