Q: In case of root canal therapy (RCT) and capping of two teeth other than the molar, how long does it last effectively without any problem once it is done successfully in a 48 years old healthy man? In case of some trouble, how is capping and RCT removed or is the tooth extracted to eliminate the problem?

A:Normally a successfully completed RCT followed by capping lasts for a long time and may not need any intervention for 8-10 years. If any problem then the caps can be retrieved or cut off and RCT retreated and caps fixed again without sacrificing the teeth.
