How important are hepatitis A & B vaccinations?

Q: Should everyone go in for hepatitis vaccination and how dangerous is it?

A:It is well known that hepatitis A & B vaccinations offer immunity against infection in those people not previously exposed to either form of hepatitis. However, people in India are exposed to these infections and you should get the blood checked to see if you are already immune. If not, immunisation is advised.
