Q: I am a 23 years old male having urethral stricture for the last ten years. I have been undergoing repeated dilations and have undergone urethroplasty twice. But my problem till persists. Is there no permanent cure of urethral stricture?

A:Urethral stricture may be a testing disease to treat, for the patient and doctor alike. Treatment depends on the length and location of stricture. While endoscopic treatment or dilatation suffices for small bulbar stricture, longer strictures usually require open surgical intervention with end to end, or substitution, urethroplasty. You should not get disappointed and seek advise from a expert in reconstructive Urology.
