How can milk teeth be extracted?

Q: My 9 years old son’s front milk teeth decayed and broke. Now one of the two front milk teeth have fallen and a proper permanent tooth has come out. But the other is not falling in spite of loosening and instead a tooth has come out from the gum (much above the proper place). How to take care of this? If the milk tooth is extracted, how will the new tooth get aligned?

A:Sometimes milk teeth do not shed in time and need to be extracted. The permanent would invariably come at the extracted site with lip pressure after sometime if not then it can be managed orthodontically. Consult your dentist immediately.
