Q: I am a 30 years old man married for 3 years but have some problem regarding fertility. My semen volume is 0.5 ml and sperm motility is 15%. Is there any chance to increase or improve the sperm count and sperm motility? I have taken Addyzoa for two months, Sparant, Lyco-Q, Nurobest-XL, Siphene-M, Ovofar and Spark for a month. Now I am taking Vigomax, Ubiphene, Terol LA 4. Please suggest a medicine to improve sperm count and sperm motility.

A:Sperms are formed in the testis from precursor cells, matured en-route while being transported to a store, before being thrown out at time of ejaculation. Sperm quantity and quality in the semen may be poor due to lack of precursor cells, its maturation process, hostile environment during transportation, or defective transportation. As you would understand it is not possible to treat or prognosticate unless the exact cause is known, which is possible only after proper examination and investigations. There are no blind medications to increase the sperm count and motility.
