How can I make my daughter stop sucking the bottle?

Q: My 15 months old daughter sleeps only with the help of a bottle. I tried to stop her bottle feeds but she cries so much. I tried giving milk in a sipper while sleeping but she resists. She cries for 30 minutes or so and then sleeps. Other than her sleep time she doesn't require the bottle as I give her solid food. Please suggest me ways to make her stop this habit.

A:Bottle sucking is a bad habit and to stop any bad habit is a difficult thing. Just stop the bottle all together and accept little bit of irritability. It never happens that you can gradually stop the bottle sucking habit. Be nice to your child during this period of stress but don't give in to her demands of having a bottle.
