Q: I am 55 years old and have high BP and blood sugar. Both are controlled by medicines. I have lost 3 teeth on the right side of my jaw, but the roots are still there. What is the best option to get the other teeth fixed or screwed (artificial)?

A:The best option can be decided after seeing the x-ray of the teeth and also general condition of the mouth. If your teeth have good bone support, general condition is good and the roots are not below gum level; best option would be to treat the roots and get post and core restoration for the teeth on natural roots. In case it is not then there can be two options taking out the roots and making a fixed denture, may be a removable denture and implants later on.
