Q: I am 26 years old and have developed cysts on the skin of my scrotum and it seems to be spreading. When I contacted a dermatologist, he said that this is a harmless condition and can be treated with surgery. Is surgery the only answer or can medicines be tried? Is it completely curable? Will the surgical process have any side effects on my sex life?

A:Sebaceous cysts of scrotum are generally multiple and can be removed surgically. There is no medical treatment. It doesn't affect sexuality. They can recur since it is a skin problem and new cysts can form again.
