Q: My blood group is AB +ve and my wife's blood group is B-ve. My son's blood group is A+ve. Is it safe to go for a second child? Is there any risk keeping in view our blood chemistry?
A:It is best to consult a good maternity hospital or doctor. They will conduct the necessary tests to determine whether there is any risk. If the first pregnancy was attended to by a qualified doctor and the necessary steps taken to prevent the formation of Rh antibodies then there should be no problem.
