Q: We administered the Hepatitis B vaccine to my daughter 8 years ago. At that time the doctor advised us not to administer the booster dose at the age of 5 years. Recently I was told by some of my doctor friends that Hepatitis B vaccine has to be administered again since the disease is at its high. Do I need to administer the booster dose or not?
A:For hepatitis B vaccine, if the full course of primary immunization of three doses has been given in children irrespective of the age of the child, there is no need for a booster dose.
