Does a progesterone capsule work better orally or vaginally?

Q: I want to know how the gelatin capsule, progesterone will be helpful when used through vaginal insertion? If we take the medicine orally, will it mix in the blood to help cure the disease or not? What is a better route - oral or vaginal?

A:Even the vaginal insertion works via blood absorption, however the local uterine action is better.
