Q: I am a 29 years old man suffering from joint pains for the last year. My uric acid was 7.8 last week Is my joint pain due to this uric acid problem? What is the remedy for this? My weight is 69 kg and height is 173 cm.

A:High uric acid correlates with poor general health including lack of exercise, over-eating, especially seafood, red meat, and beer drinking. Uric acid is a marker (not the cause) that if it is high, it indicates that you have more than normal chance of high blood pressure, diabetes and heart attack. Therefore, you should immediately start eating less and eating healthy i.e. more and more of fruits, salads, less and less of fatty food. Must do regular exercises for at least 45 to 60 minutes daily. Walking at the pace of 100 steps every minute for 30 to 45 daily would help.
