Q: I am from India settled in Australia. My son is four years old. I want to know about the polio drops to be given here in Australia?

A:There is no need to give oral pulse polio immunisation in Australia, although routine immunisation schedule being prescribed in Australia including for prevention of poliomyelitis (injectable or oral at the prescribed ages) should be followed. I would not be in a position to inform you about the availability of oral polio drops in Australia.
