Do I have to take all 3 hepatitis vaccines, if I have missed one?

Q: During school, I missed two out of the three hepatitis vaccinations. I took the first one, and then skipped the rest. Do I need to get all the three, Hepatitis A, B and C vaccines all over again? It has been over 4 years now. How should I go about it and what would be the aggregate cost of all the vaccines now?

A:Yes, you would require the entire course of three vaccinations for Hepatitis B vaccine (each dose would cost roughly Rs. 400 to 500). At your age Hepatitis A vaccination would not be of much use. There are no vaccines currently available for Hepatitis C virus.
