Q: Some three years back I had right lung rupture. I used to smoke then. When I was hospitalised the doctors inserted a tube, through which a lot of blood and other fluids came out. I was kept there for 15 days and then everythig went well and I never smoke now, but snice then I became very sensitive to smell and in tne mornings I feel breathlessness. Please advise.
A:You may have developed emphysema as a result of smoking and that may have been the cause of the lung rupture. You should get a lung function test done along with an HRCT of your lungs and then decide the future course of management.
