Can we use glutamine in diabetic patients?

Q: Can we use glutamine in diabetic patients? Is there any product in the market which has glutamine supplementation? Is it a necessity? What would be the dosage in such case?

A:Glutamine (also called glutamic acid) can be taken by diabetic patients. It is not essential. We are not aware of any formulation that contains this ingredient.
