Q: Nowadays, children at lower kindergarten (LKG) and upper kindergarten (UKG) level (4- 6 years) are overloaded. If the input is more at this level, will it have any effect on their health in general after 10 or 15 years?
A:Overloading the child with studies and having undue expectations at the elementary school stage can result in physical and psychological stress. Since the child may not be able to deal with the pressure, she may get a sense of failure and hence suffer from low self-esteem. A negative attitude towards school and studies is also possible. These consequences could have long-term undesirable effects.
