Q: I am 29 years old. Last year, my friend met with an accident and so had to get a CT Scan. While doing this I was with him in the room. I am worried now about the radiations that may have harmed me and cause birth defects in my child in future?
A:Scattered radiation within a CT Scan suite is not significant enough to alter sperm quality. There is no fear of birth defects consequent to this.
