Can pelvic inflammatory disease reduce the chances of concieving?
Q: I am diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). I am on serophene 100 mg to get pregnant. There is no progress with it. Can having a pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) in the past decrease ones chances of conceiving? Should I stop taking serophene and have my fallopian tubes checked?
A:Yes, it is a fact that a serious or neglected PID can result in problems with conception. However there are other more frequent reasons for this so both you and your husband should have a complete checkup by a gynecologist and urologist who are specialists in infertility.
