Q: My 24 years old wife is suffering from brain TB. She has lost her eyesight due to brain TB six months back. Now she is completely blind and a red colour is always seen in her eyes. What are the chances for her of gaining back her vision?
A:It seems that your wife has developed optic nerve inflammation or atrophy as a result of Brain TB & meningitis. Once the treatment is effective, she should regain some vision but consult a good eye specialist as soon as possible to check and prevent extent of damage. Treatment has to be urgent otherwise her sight and general health also will be affected.
