Can Meniere's disease be cured?

Q: What is the validity of the medicine alpha tinnitus that cures Meniere's disease? Due to the attack of Meniere's disease I have vertigo, imbalance and tinnitus. Two month have passed but I still have imbalance. Doctor prescribed Stugeron forte. Please help me cure my imbalance.

A:Unfortunately, there is no definitive, permanent cure of Meniere's disease. However, cinnarizine (sold under various brand names such as Stugeron, Avidazine and Cintigo) is an appropriate medication to control the signs and symptoms (such as vertigo, nausea and imbalance) of Meniere's disease. In many patients, it has to be taken over prolonged periods to be effective. Except for drowsiness and rash once in a while it is a safe drug.
