Can infants be dewormed routinely?

Q: Is it OK to give deworming medicine to a baby of 14 months? If it so, what is the dose?

A:It is not recommended to routinely deworm an infant or a child below 3 years old unless the child has symptoms of worm infestation or laboratory evidence for the same.
