Q: I am 26 years old. I had not received the MMR booster dose as a child. Can I take it now to prevent any complications during pregnancy?

A:Yes, to be absolutely safe, it would be desirable to do so before a pregnancy is being planned. It is vital to remember that pregnancy should not occur for at least three months, preferably six months, after vaccination.
