Can I regain hearing in my right ear?

Q: I am 27 years old now and was diagnosed with sensori-neural hearing loss (SNHL) in the right ear following an accident when I was 12 years old. I cannot hear with my right ear. Is there a way to regain hearing without using any hearing aid?

A:I am afraid there is no possibility of any surgical or medical procedure to regain the hearing in right ear.So, since you have left ear as the only hearing ear, please observe precautions:

Consult ENT as soon as you have any kind of problem with left ear.

Don't self-clean your ear or use soap or oil.

Take a list of medications that you have to avoid to protect the only hearing ear.

Don't visit quacks or unqualified medical personnel to get treatment for this ailment.
