Q: We missed a HiB booster between 15-18 months for our 3 years daughter, as we were not informed. Can we give it now and still get the desired levels of protection or should we go through the complete 3 + 1 series all over again? Please advise.
A:It is likely that the child would have got natural boosters from the environment (contacts with sub-clinical infection) and perhaps the child does not even need a booster. However, to be absolutely certain you could give one booster now; there is no need to repeat the entire course.
