Q: I have vaccinated my 2 months old son with shan 5. When can I give him the Japanese encephalitis vaccine? Can a 12 years old girl be given this vaccine?
A:Japanese encephalitis vaccine is given only in endemic areas. There must be a gap of at least 4 weeks between any two immunizations. The vaccine can be given at 12 years age.
