Can I conceive while having chronic cough?

Q: I am a 33 years old woman having 35 days menstrual cycle and it goes normal. I have a 2 years old baby (delivered through c-section). Now I am trying to conceive again. I had spotting for the last 3 days following an intercourse 5 days before, though my due date for the next menstrual cycle is after a week. I had my last period 28 days back. Do I need to consult the doctor? I had ectopic and missed abortions before my first baby. I had chronic cough for more than a month too and am taking accuhaler seritide. Now I am completely cured but still need to take this course of medicine for another 2 more weeks. If I conceive now, does it affect the baby?
A:It would have been better if you had used some form of barrier contraception when you were not OK. At least you can do that now. I suggest you consult a gynaecologist as soon as you complete 35 days of your cycle, if you do not have menses. Further action will depend upon the exam findings and test results.
