Can Duoluton be taken for emergency contraception?

Q: What is the dosage of Duoluton L, to prevent pregnancy after a single unprotected intercourse? I took within 2 hours of intercourse. Do I need to take for 21 days continuously even if the subsequent intercourse is protected?

A:Duoluton-L is not indicated to prevent conception. Norlevo (by Win Medicare) is meant for emergency contraception: 2 tablets to be taken as early as possible, preferably within 12 hours but no later than 72 hours. If vomiting occurs within three hours of taking the tabs. 2 additional tablets should be taken.
