Q: My five years old son is due for DTP booster and typhoid vaccine. Can these two vaccines be given simultaneously or should we give a gap of four weeks?

A:They can be safely given at the same time but at two different sites in the body - the two vaccines also should not be mixed. If you do not want to give two injections at the same sitting, then there should be a minimum interval of one month between the two vaccinations.
