Can a 3 months old baby be given cow or buffalo milk?

Q: My baby is 3 months old. I have only breast fed her. I will be resuming work in another 10 days. Kindly suggest if cow milk or buffalo milk should be introduced to the baby?

A:At three months of age you need to introduce either breast milk expressed with a bottle or formula milk. It is too early to try and introduce cows milk or buffalos milk as it tends to be harder to digest and causes colic.
