blood in semen

Q: Sometimes when I am masturbating when the sperms come out its like almost the colour of blood. I am just worried about that. Can u please tell me why is that so & what should I do?

A:At your age this problem needs to be investigated. Most of the time there is no cause found but Tuberculosis is one possibility. Get a Urine Routine / Microscopic examination and ultrasound for KUB and transrectal ultrasound for seminal vesicles. Also consult a urologist.
