Are there any side effects of infra red treatment for back pain?

Q: Does infra red ray treatment for back pain have any side effects? Some one told me if you have take it once you are required to have it frequently. Is it correct? Please advise. I consulted a doctor and I was told to have a infra red for a week.

A:There are no side effects from infra red treatment of the back. It is a local therapy designed to give relief. It is not required to give repeatedly. It may safely be taken for local relief.
