Are there any bad effects of using diapers?

Q: My daughter is 3 years old and mostly for our convenience we put her on diapers during the night. Does prolonged usage of diapers in children have any untoward effect?

A:If she is tolerating the diapers well, you can continue to use them, make sure she does not lie soaked in urine and stool for too long. If she develops local rashes, you may discontinue its usage.
