Am I on right treatment for controlling high blood pressure?

Q: I am a 64 years old man suffering from high blood pressure (160/95 mmHg). I have been taking amlodac 2.5 for controlling it, but it is ineffective. Now, the doctor has advised amlodac 5 in the morning and Benitee (20mg) at night. Is taking Amlcef LS 5+5 all right? Are there any side effects of Benitee? Am I on right treatment for controlling high blood pressure?
A:Regarding the use of anti-hypertensive drugs, I feel Amlcef LS 5+5 which you have been taking for control of blood pressure should be OK if you are tolerating it well without any side effects. Of course, you should discuss with your local physician too.
