Q: I am a 53 years old male suffering from chronic myelogenous leukaemia (CML). I am taking Veenat Imatanib (400 mg) for the last seven months. My bcr-abl and chromosome came positive. My next bone marrow test would be held after three months. Am I on right treatment for chronic myelogenous leukaemia?

A:For CML, you are receiving the right therapy. Bcr-abl in the peripheral blood needs to tested to see how you are responding. Drug information on Imatinib is attached for your reference to look out for side effects. There are other drugs also available for use in CML but currently in your case, this is the right way forward.
