Am I eligible for defence services with glasses?

Q: I am a 12 years old boy, the power of my glasses is 5.5 in the left eye and 5.25 in the right eye. Can it be considered as 6\6 or not? I have come to know that in the defence services eye sight should be 6\6. Am I eligible?

A:Your vision is 6/6 but only with glasses. Different services will have different criteria for taking people like you either with glasses or contact lenses. You should choose your carrier accordingly. Like Indian Air Force (IAF) will take you as long as your vision is 6/6 with contact lenses but not with glasses. Find out their requirements.
